In The Job Description?

When I saw Abby’s post today, it made me laugh — she’s a woman after my own heart! I hear a lot of “Oh, if you plan events, you must have SO many ideas for your wedding!” Well, yes, in a way. I’ve always had a lot of ideas — I realized I wanted to plan weddings when I realized that I’d be giving Elizabeth Taylor a serious sun for her money if I was ever going to use all of the wedding ideas I had! Hence using them on other people.

But strangely enough, doing weddings for other people has had the opposite effect on me from what most people would think. I want something different for my wedding. You know what they say…”familiarity breeds contempt” (for the record, I don’t think this applies to happy marriages!!!). It was refreshing to read Abby’s post and realize I’m not the only one who has had this reaction to planning!

Three cheers for brides who obstinately stick to what works for them!
