Have a look at the gorgeous favors on Tea Party Treasures website. Monogrammed cookies, tea pot shaped favor boxes, a lot of things that are out-of-the-ordinary for a bridal tea.

Hi, Precious. Your mom mentioned your wedding day a few weeks ago when we attended the ladies' day at Peninsula.

Just wanted to drop you a note to say, "Congratulations," and to ooh and ahh. What a lovely dress and a classic headpiece. And the tux is cool, too. I love the idea that you did things so practically, and STILL so beautifully.

You are right that wedding days aren't necessarily a blur. I still remember a lot of the details from Mark's and my wedding twelve years ago, but I have to say I envy your and T's going about it in your own style. In my family, I was the first of the dozens of grandkids to get married, so it was everybody's day but mine. I'm finally over that...(ahem) :-)

Anyway, I pray that the 2 of you will have a long, long marriage, and that you'll be all that God can have you to be for each other.

Life is so short and unpredictable. Cherish each other and every single moment.

Feel free to write me any time.

Peace and blessings!

[...] Remember when we took the china off our registry because we felt like it was a frivolous thing to ask our guests for in this economy? And took the flatware off for the same reason? Well, T’s aunts decided that we should have china and flatware, so one aunt and uncle, along with their children and respective spouses, went in together and bought us an entire set of flatware. Another aunt, uncle, children and respective spouses also went in and actually bought us an entire 58-piece set of china. I cry at everything, but I was so shocked and touched that honestly, I couldn’t really react at all! I mean, I think I did, but it definitely had a hard time sinking in. The china we got was, unbelievably enough, actually a pattern that we had looked at initially, Mikasa Parchment: [...]
